I have been busy making lots of stuff. I have not sat down and did my sewing yet. I need to do that. I have been crafting and scrapin. I joined a site called alilscrapofheaven.ning.com it is so fun. Lots of neat ladies with the same interests as me. I swap alot with them. I seem to have better luck swapin there than I was through bloggin. I have made some youtube videos of my crafts, I dont know how to link it here so you can go and look if you want. I am onelynn36 on youtube. Here are some pics of my recent projects.

Yep I am still here. Just neglectin the blog. So I plan to post more and just keep things up to date. Not that I have a bunch of followers or anything, just for me mostly. I am working on craft projects and getting other unfinished items done. (My daughters will be happy to hear that.) I am building my spray tan business and thinkin about going back to school. And working my butt off with 2 jobs that equal almost a full-time job. So watch me in the next few months and see my growth!! :)

Looking forward to the holidays and visiting with family. Christmas shopping has already started for me. I am excited to see my son, and hope to hear from my oldest. I am adding this picture just cause has nothing to do with this post, but I love the ocean and these two guys.... I have much to be thankful for this Thanksgiving and am reminded everyday. I am so blessed.

I have been doing alot of swaps lately. I participated in a favorites swap and got some wonderful things from Sharni she lives in Australia. Love the candy it was sooo good! also got a mixed music cd I like it! And finally lots of post cards.. I am going to put them in my scrapbook. I think I will send her some post cards, she likes to collect them.

My next swap was an apron swap. I sent out two aprons, but failed to get pictures of them. It was at the time graduation was going on around here and it was crazy! I am sad to say my aprons never arrived. kimberly-kimberlyskoner.blogspot.com hosted this one!This also happened to my summer swap partner. She never got hers from me. I am talking to my post office and if nothing comes about I will send her another.

Last was Necklace and nail posish swap. I got my pal Haley again from bracelet swap. She made me a really nice Thanks Haley. lifeandtimesofkatiescott.blogspot.com was the host!

So I am going to be busy next week with lots of stuff, I am starting a spray tan business and hope to get it launched by the end of the week. I am so excited! I can travel with it and have parties and all kinds of fun stuff!

My Graduate!

My third oldest graduated last week. My little boy graduated pre-school. This happened a day apart. I planned a bbq for graduation celebration and participated in two swaps. I was wiped out....No kidding. I am just now recovering. We had family and friends out for the graduation and bbq. Yep we got a bunce house for it. Everyone enjoyed it. I have to say that seeing my beautiful little girl graduate was really emotional for me. I will admit it I cried! She is grown up and moving on to the next phase in her life. Then to see my little boy move on from preschool I cried again. The teacher put together a really nice dvd to music of the last two years. He has some really great teacher, we are going to miss them. Yep, I got in on this one. My husband can't understand why I need more flip flops. You already have five pairs. Yep but I need more variety, I tell him. He just shakes his had. April is autism awareness month and we are going to be participating in a walk for Autism Speaks. We are trying to raise money to go towards research and other costs that are associated with autism. I caught this show on one night and started to watch it. I am hooked. Now I have to see the first half before it starts up again. I love the choice of songs. It's a really good cast and they all have really great voices.

Yep I made it through week two. I did one mile. It was alittle easier than I thought. The crazy weather does not help, I had to move my days around it. I think that kinda messed me up. But I am going forward. one and half miles starts next week. Wish me luck! One step in front of the other.

ok the reason I say this is for alot of reasons. One I took up running and all I can say is help me. I decided to train for the 5k for the autism awareness fund raiser. (more on that later) I hope that I can get pass the burn and not just in the legs, its also in the lungs, head, all over! My lung feels like it is going to come out of my body and it is only a half mile! Next week I go to one mile.......I hear crickets at this point. My daughter mentioned to her dad that I was training to run this 5K, he laughed so hard he had to get off the phone with her. (There is a reason why he is an ex). Well laugh go ahead,I say I'll show you... again crickets. I have a cause and that is my focus. I will do it no matter what! Also I have a few excuses as to why I have not posted since too long ago, I am busy with new jobs. I have also done some spring cleaning, I took pictures so I will post them. I am also working on some craft projects..again pictures will be posted soon.

Missed christmas on here. I was really busy getting projects done for the family and going to california. It was a great christmas and glad to be home. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving. We get two this year. One with my in-laws and I will have one the day after. Once we finish shopping that is. Just a little note to let you know what I am thankful for. MY FAMILY! All of my children and that includes the aquired ones! My hubby, and my parents. I am really thankful for my home it is still like new to me everyday. Being able to be with family is the best. Oh and leftovers.....Hope it is the best for you...

Yesterday marks a big event in my life. My oldest boy turned 26. My baby boy who I missed out on so much. I was so young when I had him. I had alot of growing up to do and he suffered the hard knock with it. I am sad to say my relationship with him is not right now. I do however have hope that it will be again one day. I let him down in some ways and I think he is trying to work through that. I know that I am proud of him and the man he has become. He is currently serving our country and has been for the last eight years. He has a wonderful wife and he continues to make smart decisions in his life. I love him so much and pray each day that he will soften his heart and allow me to be in his life. I so regret all I missed with him. My heart aches to see and be just a small part of his life. I love you my son and will never give up on us. Happy Birthday and I hope it was a really great one! Love Always MOM

Family Camping Trip

Our first annual family camping trip. We had a great time and really enjoyed spending time out in a tent. I didn't think I would be too thrilled about sleeping out in a tent. (Especially when my mattress went flat.)But we all had a good time roasting marshmellows, riding the jet skis (thanks Nalders) and just visiting. We are planning on doing it again next year.

So August was a busy month for me. Logan turned 4 and we had a nice birthday for him at Chuck E Cheese. He was so happy and I made him some gf cupcakes. We also
celebrated Taylor's birthday, since she was in california for hers. The rest of the month was getting ready for school. Emily is a senior this year and it requires much work!

It's hard to believe that my little girl is not a little girl anymore. Today marks a step forward into womanhood for her. I am sad, she just had her eleventh birthday a few days ago. She is growing too fast. I look at the little redhead with piggy tales (what little I could get in) and see a grown girl who is no longer a girl. I was hopeing for alittle more time as a little girl. :( I love you T.

So we went to visit the kids we haven't seen in awhile. We also got to see the babies! Zach is such a good father. I also got a wonderful present from my great daughter-in-law Rachel...The jar made especially for me :) I had to make some goodies to put in it! Thanks Rachel I love it so much!

Ok so I haven't been really loyal to my blog here, so I am playing catch up....

Here is the one mile that my family ended up doing with me. It was cold that day, but we finished and it was fun! I plan on doing more in the future.

Outside my box...

Remember when I said that my new years resolution was to step outside my box? I have been so far. I was called to young womens as a beehive advisor. That is so outside my box! Anyway I signed up myself and my family for a 1 mile walk run to help support our local park to build a walking path. We will be participating in this on May 16. So look for an up date on this.... Just another outside the box comment on Saturday the 2nd my husband and I along with the kids will be sealed in the Temple. A six year accomplishment! :)

Autism....

I just wanted to share with everyone that April is Autism Awareness Month. Many of you know that Logan is Autistic. We have been proactive in his treatment. We found a biomedical doctor in Provo who has been helping us and we have also been learning. Logan takes 15 supplements a day and a b-12 shot every three days. ( I have had to learn to inject my little baby boy) But I see some results, so I push along. Easter was tough. He is on a yeast program right now. This means no sugar, no yeast, no gluten of any kind only two fruits a day no processed meats, and the list goes on....I should just write what he can have. So for his Easter egg hunt ( which by the way no eggs are allowed) he got his grapes, his favorite crackers, a bunny toy, and best of all a bubble machine. Thanks to grandma and grandpa for making it nice for Logan. He loves mashed potatoes and I made some for our dinner as well as Logans special ones! I am still learning and trying to find good things for him with all these limits. My motivation for all this hard work? My boy off the Autism spectrum. I KNOW this will happen....

A Bit of Heaven.....

Yep it is heaven to spend the day doing something you love. And for me it is scrapbooking. What can be better than a huge place to see all you can and more. It was just alittle bit of heaven. Getting away for the day was nice and spending it with my MIL and SIL this is our second year. Can't wait til next year....

Yep my little girl is not so little anymore. She really worked hard to get that piece of paper. So now she can drive herself. I am excited and sad at the same time. She is getting her independence little by little. She is a senior next year. Then she plans to move to sunny California and start her life out there. I am sad. I already miss her and shed tears over this. I am making sure to make the most of the next year.

I already knew before christmas my resolution, my favorite morning show a few months back has a theme for the month. The theme was "Be Daring" or in other words live outside your box....this doesn't mean you have to go skydiving (unless you want to) it just means to do something you wouldn't normally do. In the past few years I have managed to slip into a prety routine life. It's not a bad thing, but I need to do more. I use to always "be daring" and I need to put myself out there again. So some of my ideas for this are:

Get over my phobia of flying over large bodies of water. This has kept me from going to hawaii and other wonderful places....

Meet some girlfriends..We moved here a year ago and I still have yet to really meet some friends.

Become a stronger advocate for my son and his autism..I plan to get him as much help as possible this year. This will require trips to salt lake...well worth it.

Build a stronger family unit...we are all going our seperate ways, and need to make more family time.

Follow my dreams... My important ones!!

Make more time for myself and my husband.

Christmas last year

This Christmas was ok for us, we spent our first christmas eve with my husbands parents and family. We have been married six years and this was our first. Only because we always spend thanksgiving with them. So the girls were with their dad this year and Christmas day was a bust. It snowed so much here, we couldn't go anywere! I did get to reflect on last Christmas. I had all my kids together on Christmas Eve at my aunts house with my grandma and dad. It was my grandma's last Christmas, she passed away in June. It was so wonderful to have a houseful of family and all the kaos. It was the best Christmas I had in a long time. It makes me thankful for my family and I love them all very much. Time is precious and means so much, take each moment and cherish it always!

My little boy..

So L is doing really well, he has his days but I see progress. I always get eye contact from him and he is interacting alot more. He spent four hours at his grandma and grandpas house the other night and did well. He knows were eyes are and he can point to them. We are now working on nose. I have been reading Mother Warriors and it has really given me more hope. I plan on getting him to a DAN doctor by the first of the year. I keep buggin the speech therapy at USU (he is on a waiting list) so hopefully he will be going soon. He communicates to us, just not with words. He will take us to what he wants or he uses some signs. I am so blessed to have such a wonderful little boy, you just look at him and melt.

Corey and Candee opening presents, on our way to thanksgiving,and having a good time with the family. We get to celebrate thanksgiving and birthdays, so we get pies and cake!!

They even got bells from Santa Clause.."the first gift of christmas."

Our tickets to the Polar Express and waiting to get on the train. Once on we got our HOT CHOCOLATE...it was so fun and worth it!

My twilight shirt, and with all the kids at the movie: we sat in the front row, it was the only seats available and we got there a half an hour early. Oh well, I still loved it!

Ok so I haven't been on for awhile...I have many good excuses,so just know that. Since the last time I posted, I have been to see Twilight :) LOVED IT!!!! Went to the Heber Polar Express, Had my son and his girlfriend here for thanksgiving and celebrated their christmas, and now I am still putting up christmas deco and have been since the day after thanksgiving. Last night for family night we went to the movies..The first time since we moved here. We saw madagascar. I recommend it, so funny and I think better than the first. I love the penguins, and all the original characters Melman,gloria, Alex,and Marty. Logan actually sat and watched most of it without a fuss. So glad we went!

Since November is the month to show our gratitude, I decided to post things I am thankful for early. Here they are:

1. My Husband (even on the hard days)
2. My children, all of them! Even the aquired ones! (you should know who you are)
3. My Home, it took so much to get here and a year later I am still amazed that we live in this beautiful place!
4. In one of my favorite movies a saying is used and I so feel the same way it is "my cup runneth over" and it does with so much!
5. My family how blessed I am to have the people I do in my life.
6. My future best friend.
7. The teachers who work with Logan. They are so awesome! He is doing so well!
8. My scentsy business...My house always smells nice :)
9. Good health for me and my family.
10. My Dad...we have really connected in the last few years and it is so great to be able to just talk to him and spend time together.

Yes I am one of those people. I have read all the books and now I did it last night! I bought my ticket to see the movie! It opens on Friday, but well I was not the only person with this brilliant idea! So I have to wait until saturday. The girls wanted to go (neither have read the book) but still wanted to go. Since the hubby had to work..I think he was quite thankful for that. (he can't understand all the hype..)I got grandma to watch the youngster so I can totally enjoy my movie,and now I have to wait.

The girls and I had so much fun with halloween this year. Last year this time we just moved here from Nevada. So we found all our decorations and bought and made a few this year. It was so much fun, that and getting the costumes together.

Today is such a bittersweet day... My oldest son Ryan went int to the Navy September 4, 2001. As everyone knows one week later one of the most horrible days. I was so upset about the events and that my son was so far away and going to be a part of the events yet to come. My son served six months in Iraq on a medical helicopter. His life in danger everyday. I was so thankful when he finally came home. My heart goes out to all the families who have a loved one in Iraq or have lost one. I still pray everyday for them. I also reflect on September 11, 2001 and give tribute to all those who gave their lives. All of them heroes!!

Is it that money can change relationships in a family? I have learned a valuable lesson in the past four years, make sure that you have your wishes made very clear and iron clad so that there are no fights!! Even the strongest relationships seem to crumble when it comes to money. It makes me sad but a smarter person to experience a situation like this more than once. My advice to you Make your wishes really clear ... my kids are hearing it loud and clear from me and it will be legal too!!

Milestones.....

I watched Logan step into his dads shoes and walk around! I was just soooooo happy!! This may mean no big deal to some of you, but to me it is such a milestone for him! He is pretending in his autistic world, or imitating or doing some other wonderful thing. It is the best thing I could see my son do right now!! Days like this are such a positive for me. It means he is really taking in all he is learning. The small connections he is making are developing in his little brain.

So today is my hubbys birthday, I won't tell you how old he is..just that he flew back home by himself from the funeral trip. The baby and I stayed behind to help take care of some things. He is so blessed to have a great set of parents who just take care of things. He still had a cake and some presents when he got home from his plane ride. So Happy Birthday to my husband and I love ya lots!! Thanks for all your support and love!

Tribute to Grandma

So today I got a call from my dad, my grandma passed away at 1:00 am sunday morning. She was 91. Lived a good life and I know she is with my grandpa now, whom she has missed since he died 13 years ago. I miss her already and had a good cry. I will be leaving to go and be with my family and help out with the funeral and such. It is a tough day. Grandma was the glue to our family, my dad cried on the phone when he told me, I think that is the first time I have heard him cry in all my life. Grandma I love you and tell Grandpa I love and miss him too!! I look forward to being with you both someday......

Well the latest news on the house is looks like we got beat to the punch..It was a really good deal and it looks like someone else got it first. We found out two days after we put an offer in, someone had got to it first. So that put us second. So we are back looking for another deal... Just keep trying, thats all.....

Are we crazy with these gas prices? We will find out. We won't be going real far, so it won't hurt quite as much. But with the prices of everything going up it sure makes you think. I am comming up with creative ways to save a dollar. We shop at a supermarket that gives you a break on gas and that really helps! I am learning to use other food items, and make more homemade items. We eat turkey and chicken meat now...lots of other short cuts. Anyway to save money I am for it. We are quite blessed, we have an abundance of cereal, and do pretty well otherwise. Flippin houses

Ok, so my husband has wanted to flip houses for awhile now. Well we found one and put an offer in on it. So we find out in a few days if we got it. We are excited and scared at the same time. But this house just came to us and we could not pass it up. It was a sweet deal and someone has about 50% or more of the house done. They started and did not get to finish. So it is now our project if all goes well. I will post pictures later. We hope this is the start of a new business for us.

Motherhood always keeps me busy full-time....one sick child and another who was bit by one of our fisty horses... among other daily duties. I am glad the day is slowing down. Then I will get to finish cleaning my house. I get a few moments here and there to surf the net or check e-mails or blog. All of this is good~
